Day Two
Saturday is the Festival at full stretch. The biggest day of programming runs from early morning through to late evening across multiple venues, including the Wharf and Cargo Shed, the Library, the riverfront and the bushland beyond.
The day opens gently: nature art journaling, birdsong walks and yoga beside the river.
By mid-morning, the full program is in motion, with simultaneous storytelling sessions, workshops and activities winding through the Port of Echuca.
At midday, board a paddle steamer for the Book Lovers’ Luncheon at Morrisons, where you can meet authors, and enjoy great food and lively conversation, arriving the only way that makes sense: by river.
As the sun sets, the Wharf marquee opens for the Comedy Club with Sammy J, one of Australia’s sharpest wits and most astute social commentators. The headline event follows: Songs and Stories with Dan Sultan – a deep dive into life, lyrics and the power of song, hosted by broadcaster Rosie Walton.
