Joanna Werner

Joanna Werner is one of Australia’s most respected creative producers and is the force behind The Newsreader (ABC), Surviving Summer (Netflix) and the acclaimed feature documentary Goolagong, which one two awards at this year’s Logies. Multiple AACTA Award winner and three-time Emmy nominee, she joins us for a conversation on narrative, image and the art of the long story.

An Ambassador of our Festival, Jo will share her passion for storytelling through film and how place and community connection has shaped all that she does.
